The principal analyst of Ovum Company, Eden Zoller, has conducted some analyses and forecasts of trends until 2026, collecting them in a publication entitled “The future of e-commerce: The road to 2026”.
Which will be the future of e-commerce?
It will focus towards the shopping experiences in real-time and tailored to each individual user.
Today in Europe the 19% of eCommerce transactions take place by Iphone but it has expected to increase by 7% thanks to the new App Apple Pay. The most popular areas are luxury and fashion, with 55% of the purchase transactions made by mobile.
The engine of the mobile commerce will be the new app, which will take into account the personal tastes for tailored shopping experiences. Other key elements are: immediate availability, opening seven days a week, 24 hours to 24, a proactive customer service and free delivery or low cost.
This will assist to the success of online stores over traditional “real” stores.
